Unrestricted Move

The "Unrestricted Move" feature allows the robot to move freely by temporarily disabling its radars and other safety installations. This functionality is crucial when the robot needs to be parked next to a wall or navigate areas where safety sensors might otherwise impede movement, despite it being possible to traverse these spaces safely.

The operator is responsible

When using this mode, the operator assumes full responsibility for the system and safety. Robot at Work is not liable for any damages or issues that may arise from operator error during this mode. It is important that the operator follows the instructions below.

Enabling Unrestricted Move

To enable the "Unrestricted Move" feature, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Utilities Menu: From the home screen, navigate to the "Utilities" section.

  2. Select Unrestricted Move: In the "Environment" menu, select "Unrestricted Move."

  3. Acknowledge Safety Warnings: A screen will appear explaining the dangers associated with disabling safety features. Ensure you read and understand these instructions to maintain safety.**

  4. Activate Unrestricted Move: Press and hold the "Activate" button for 2 seconds to enable the feature. This action will disable the necessary safety features and expand the workspace limits to the machine’s maximum capacity.

While using this mode!

1. Ensure that the area around the machine is clear of any obstacles or people.
2. Stay alert and monitor the machine’s movements closely.
3. If any unsafe situation arises, immediately stop the machine.

Operating in Unrestricted Mode

Once activated, the robot can move at a reduced speed within this unrestricted mode. The movement is limited to the X-axis (right or left) from the operator’s perspective. The operator must keep the robot in this mode until it is time to return to its original workspace.

Deactivating radars and other safety features

While in this mode, you have the ability to turn off some safety features, like the radars, if need be. This is done through the three-position safety switch. Keep in mind that it's best to only do so when it is strictly necessary.

Deactivating Unrestricted Move

To deactivate "Unrestricted Move," ensure the robot is back in its original workspace. Attempting to deactivate the mode while the robot is outside this area will prompt a warning. Once in the correct position, press "Deactivate" to re-enable safety features. The robot will then pause for a few seconds to ensure the emergency stop is not triggered, avoiding activation of safety features in an unsuitable area.

Remember to go back to the workspace!

You won't be able to deactivate if you are still outside the workspace.

Restarting the Robot

If the robot is turned off while in "Unrestricted Move" mode, it will remember its state upon restart, allowing the user to exit the mode correctly.
